We are living the dream!

December 5th (Sunday Morn)
We are officially late snowbirds. Alan wanted to leave early Saturday morning but by the time we got everything loaded and cleaned the house a little; we left at the crack of noon. Alan had some problems with trailer breaks so we stopped by the GO dealership for more than an hour. It was getting late but we decided to get down the road. We stayed the first night in Colorado Springs. One good thing about leaving late is no crowded RV parks!
So tonight we are in Las Vegas. (Not Nevada but New Mexico) The fireplace feels really good and we didn't think we would use it much. The TV is picking up quite a few channels so we are able to get Undercover Boss....I like that one.

Sweet Ride

Alan found this truck at a lot next to a place that sells parts to his old truck. We took it for a test drive last weekend. I told Alan it was a "Sweet Ride". He agreed so we went back and bought it. I know we will enjoy it this winter traveling with the 5th wheel. My sisters say they are glad we got it since they were worried about us going south in the old truck. It is loaded with lots of creature comforts. It is the first vehicle we have had made in the 21st century.

THE MAIDEN VOYAGE

We took our first trip in the 5th wheel trailer to the mountains of Breckenridge, Colorado. It is about 75 miles from Denver. We got a great spot right on the Swan River and next to our friend's cabin at Tiger Run. The Colorado mountains are very steep and the truck kept over heating so we had to pull over and cool off quite often. It took awhile to get there but it was fun! Oh yeah, it was Oktoberfest there, too!

Before and After Truck

Here is the GMC one ton that Alan finally brought home from Canon City. His friend Jack and him have been working on it for about 2 years. She really shines now!

Check out the before pictures of the 1982 GMC Truck bought in 1998 from the Small Rodeo Company in Montana. It has been 12 years in the making
and you just about can't recognize her anymore. Great job guys!

The Grandson's Visit

Chase and Raymie came for the weekend and we just had to go swimming at the Ridge. He can go down the slide all by himself now. It has been 2 years since he has been swimming there and he has grown alot! He can float on his back pretty good but still can't really swim.

Downtown Denver

This was a fun night. We went to dinner at the Rialto and then to see Wicked. It was fun for me as all my sisters and brother were there. Alan tells me he doesn't like musicals, but I keep on trying. This was October 24, 2009. We were celebrating my baby sister's 50th birthday.
